Do I still need a data plan for the Buck Mobile to work properly?
The payment terminal is delivered fully plug-and-play. This includes SIM card, battery, charger etc. Just charge it up and you can start accepting debit card payments immediately.
Is Wi-Fi also an option on the Buck Mobile?
Unfortunately not. The Buck Mobile only has a data connection to the mobile network (KPN). 4G network coverage is sufficient and (almost) as fast as Wi-Fi.
Roughly how long does the Buck Mobile battery last?
The battery lasts about 36 hours from fully charged. This varies depending on usage. If payment terminals process a high volume of transactions, they will need recharging sooner.
Not to worry, this terminal can be charged using a USB-C charger, including from a power bank. And if you want to be sure the battery always stays charged, choose a docking station from our webshop.
When a debit card payment goes through, two receipts are generated. Could this be reduced?
Sure. When we deliver a payment terminal, both cardholder and merchant receipts are printed by default (i.e. two receipts). This setting can be adjusted from your account page on the internet.
Instead of the current setting, you can choose to issue only the cardholder receipt (one receipt in all) or ask following each payment. However, we do not recommend this setting, as a physical receipt is proof of successful payment.
